To post the same image to more than one location, the first thing you’ll want to do is click the Bulk Posting option at the top of any location management screen. You’ll see a drop-down menu appear. Click on the top option that says Multilocation Media.
If you’ve never created a multilocation media post before, there will be a link in the center of the screen you can click to add your first one. If you have previously created a multilocation media post, there will be a blue button on the top-right part of the screen that says New Multilocation Media. Click that to create a new post.
The first thing you’ll want to do is determine which locations you’d like to post your image to. If you’ve set up tags and wish to use a tag for this purpose, click the tag field and choose the appropriate tag. Otherwise, you’ll want to click on the locations field. A drop-down menu with all of your locations will appear. Select the first location you want by clicking on it. To add another location, click the locations field again and select your next location. Continue doing this until you’ve added all of the locations you’d like to post your image to.
Next, choose which category your image fits into. The different options are visible in the recording below this paragraph. Something to be aware of is the fact that Google will sometimes reject an image if they feel like it’s a category mismatch. For that reason, the next option we give you says Fallback to “Additional” Category. What this means is that we will resubmit the image under the “additional” category if Google rejects the image. In almost all cases, resubmitting images this way will be successful. It is always a good idea to click the corresponding slider and turn that option on.
The next things to do are select the image you’d like to post and edit its EXIF data. You can either upload an image from your hard drive or you can select an image you’ve previously uploaded by choosing the Gallery option after you click the Select Image button. This will make more sense after watching the recording below.
When you get to the EXIF data screen after choosing an image, the easiest thing to do is click the drop-down menu at the top of the screen that starts off saying “Current EXIF” and selecting the option that says Fill with Recommended EXIF data. You can, of course, put in customized EXIF data if you’d like to. We have a help document that explains all of the fields on the EXIF editing screen. However, in most cases, and especially if you are not an expert when it comes to EXIF data, selecting the recommended EXIF data option makes the most sense. After selecting it, click the blue Ok button on the bottom-left part of the pop-up.
You can now post the image to the locations you’ve chosen right away by clicking the blue Submit button at the bottom of the page. You can schedule the image to post to your locations later if you’d like though. To do that, click the Schedule media slider. You will see a new field that says Schedule at appear. Click the blank field and you will see a calendar appear. You can choose the appropriate date and then pick any time you’d like beneath the calendar. Watch the recording below for an example of this.
Once you’ve picked a date and time you’d like the image to post to your locations, you can now click the blue Submit button and the images will appear on your GBP listings at that time.
Congratulations. You’ve just completed a mulilocation media post.
