To post an image to your GBP location, the first thing you’ll need to do is click into it from your Locations screen. After that, you’ll see a list of links on the left side of the screen. Click the Media option. If you’ve never uploaded an image to your location before, you will see a link in the center of the screen to add your first image. Click that link. If you have previously created a media post, you’ll see a blue button that says Add Media. You’ll want to click that. See the recording and screenshot below this paragraph for reference.

On the next page, the first thing you’ll want to do is select a category that your image corresponds to. Google will sometimes reject an image if they feel like it’s a mismatch for the category you’ve chosen. For that reason, the option just below the category option lets us resubmit the image under the “additional” category if that happens. It is always a good idea to turn that option on. See the recording below this paragraph.

Next, you’ll want to choose the image you’d like to post. Click on the Select Image button beneath the option to use the “additional” category as a fallback option. You can choose to upload an image from your hard drive or you can click the gallery option to use an image you’ve uploaded in the past. Whether you upload a new image or pick one you’ve used before, you’ll next encounter a pop-up that allows you to enter custom EXIF data. If you are versed in EXIF data, feel free to enter any information you like. If you do not know much about EXIF data, click the drop-down menu at the top of the pop-up and pick the option that says fill with recommended EXIF data. After that, click the blue Ok button on the bottom of the pop-up. Watch the recording below this paragraph to see all of this in action.

You can now post the image to your GBP location right away by clicking the blue submit button at the bottom of the page. However, you can schedule the image to post at a later time and date if you’d like. You can do this by clicking the schedule media slider. When you do that, you’ll see a new field appear. Clicking the new, blank field will make a calendar appear. You can choose a date from it. After that, beneath the dates, you can choose a time to post the image. The recording below shows us how to schedule the image for August 3, 2023 at 10:45 AM.

After choosing the appropriate date and time, you can now click the Submit button at the bottom of the screen and the image will appear on your location’s GBP listing whenever you’ve scheduled it to.

That is everything you need to know about posting an image to your GBP location.
