Linda Local’s location management gives you the ability to publish the same post to multiple GBP listings simultaneously. To create a multilocation post, click Bulk Posting towards the top-right of any location management page. When the drop-down menu appears, click the Multilocation Post option.
If you’ve never created a multilocation post before, you will see a link in the center of the page to create your first one. If you have previously created a multilocation post, you will see a blue button towards the top-right that says New Multilocation Post. You can click either link to begin.
The first thing you’ll want to do when the next page loads is choose which type of post you’re creating. You can choose from standard, event, offer, or alert. Alerts are only for posts that have Covid-19 information. If you choose an event or offer post, make sure to fill out the pertinent fields– things like the start and end dates, coupon codes, registration links, etc. If you are creating a standard post, make sure you choose the correct CTA button if your post requires a CTA. You can see the options below.
Next, type the text that will make up the body of your post in the summary box.
If you’d like to include an image with your post, click the Select Image button in the center of the page.
You will see a pop-up window appear after clicking the Select Image button. You will have the option of uploading a photo from your hard drive or choosing an image you’ve previously uploaded. To select an image from your hard drive, click the blue Browse files… button that appears when the pop-up loads. To choose an image you’ve previously uploaded, click on the Gallery option at the top of the pop-up. You will then be able to choose an image from the pop-up by clicking on one.
Whether you upload a new image or select one that’s already on the platform, the next step will be the same. You will see an EXIF data editor pop-up appear next. If you have familiarity with EXIF data, you are welcome to enter whatever information you like. If you’re not terribly familiar with EXIF data, click the drop-down menu at the top of the pop-up that says Current EXIF. Select the option that says Fill with Recommended EXIF data (this is usually a good option, so do not hesitate to select it every time your posts include an image).
Watch the recording below to see the instructions from the previous two paragraphs in action.
Next, you’ll want to choose the locations where this post will appear. There are two options to choose from. If you’ve set up tags, you can enter a tag in the appropriate field. You can also click on the Locations field and select the locations you want from a drop-down menu that will appear.
You can now click the blue Submit button on the bottom of the page if you want your post to go live immediately. You can choose to schedule it to go live at a later date and time. To schedule your post, click the slider next to Schedule Post. A new field will appear that says Schedule at. Click that field. You’ll see a calendar pop up. You can choose a date. After that, you can choose a time underneath the dates. Watch the recording below to see what we mean.
Again, you can click the blue Submit button if you are done. If you want this to be a recurring post, click the Recurring Post slider. You’ll see two new fields appear. The top one says Recurrent days. If you enter the number 7 in that field, that means your post will recur once every seven days, or once a week. If you put a 10 in that field, it would recur every 10 days. The field underneath that says Recurrent expire count. This is how many times you want your post to recur before it stops. If the example below, we enter 7 for our recurrent days, meaning the post will go live every week. We enter 10 for the count, meaning the post will appear for the next 10 weeks.
We have now gone over all of the options for a multilocation post. Click the blue Submit button at the bottom of the page and you are finished.
