To contact your customers via SMS, we will need to submit a registration form for Twilio Trust Hub on your behalf. Trust Hub was established so you can create an identity for your company with Twilio, a US telephony company that allows developers to embed text messaging capabilities into their applications. Trust Hub was set up to cut down on robocalling and spam messages.

Each location you manage will need to register with Trust Hub. To begin the process, click on the location you wish to register from the businesses page. For this example, we are going to use the first Starbucks location.

When the location page loads, click the Branding link on the left side of the page.

Next, scroll down until you see the phone number box. Click the Apply for verification button you see inside of it.

You will see a number of fields to fill out when the next page loads. Be sure that the information you enter matches the information of your business license exactly. Twilio routinely rejects applications when people enter “Company Name” instead of “Company Name, Inc.” For that reason, it’s important to make sure you enter your information correctly and perfectly.

After entering the business name and address, you will need to select a business type. The options are things like LLC, Inc, and so forth. Then you will indicate whether the company is public or private. After that, you will need to enter tax information, the business industry, website, region of operation, and an explanation of how your customers opt-in to receive messages. The explanation seen in the screenshot below can be adapted to your own business.

Beneath that, fill in your contact information. If this information is on your business license, make sure it matches perfectly. When you’re finished, click the blue Start verification button at the bottom of the page.
