Initial set up
As you already know, there are two types of GeoGrid searches in the Linda Local application. A scheduled search will repeatedly run every week or every month, depending on the settings you choose when you set it up. Scheduled searches allow you to track your local rank progress over time. Your scheduled searches will be saved, and you will be able to view old ones and compare them to new ones any time you like.
To set up a new scheduled GeoGrid search, click the "GeoGrid" search link in the top navigation bar.
The page with a list of scheduled GeoGrid reports will open. Click the "New config" button.
The "New config" page will appear. You will need to specify:
The business. Scheduled GeoGrids support the same set of ways to set the business as the Live ones: MyGMB, Google Search, Place ID and Map url.
The search terms. Scheduled GeoGrids allow adding several amount of search terms to one config. Don't forget to press "Enter" on your keyboard after typing in a new search term.
The grid settings: size and distance between the grid nodes. The distance can be set either in miles or meters.
The schedule. Scheduled GeoGrids can be generated either weekly or monthly.
The Google region: if GeoGrids should use the global google.com or the local ones like google.ca, google.fr, etc
When you are all set, you will end with something like this:
You can change the location of your GeoGrid: just drag it by the red center point.
Click the "Create config" button. After the creation of the config the application will generate GeoGrids for each search term. Subsequent GeoGrids will be generated according to your schedule settings.
Please note: GeoGrid generation may take some time, the more search terms you added, the longer it will take.
Click the "Configs" link to get back to your Scheduled GeoGrid configurations list.
Click your config in the configurations list to see the GeoGrids.
Editing configuration

Click the "GeoGrid" search link in the top navigation bar.
The page with a list of scheduled GeoGrid reports will open.

or
The "Edit config" page will open. It is almost identical to the "New config" form, so the editing flow is pretty intuitive.
Just one thing: if you look closer at the "Search terms" field, you will see that search terms for which exists at least one GeoGrids have a switch control next to them. This control allows to exclude the search term from the scheduled run, but keep the GeoGrids created for it and/or activate this search term in the future. You can delete the search term - just click the "x" button to the right of it, but all GeoGrids generated for the search term will be lost.
When you are all set, don't forget to click the "Save changes" button.
Animated GIF Generation
As we've mentioned above, scheduled GeoGrid searches allow you to track your local rank progress over time. If you want to demonstrate it to your colleagues who don't have access to the Linda Local application, you can create for them an animated GIF showing all GeoGrids generated for the search term.
You will need to follow these steps:
Click the "GeoGrid" search link in the top navigation bar.
The page with a list of scheduled GeoGrid reports will open.
Find your configuration and click it.
On the "Config's geogrids" page find the search term, click on it, then click the GIF link below. In the menu you can either generate a new GIF or download the existing one.
