Connecting your Facebook Profile

How to connect Facebook and Instagram to Linda with our API

We will assume that your personal Facebook account is a manger or owner of your business' Facebook page. After you have logged into your Linda account, you need to click on "Locations" in the menu and then click on the blue "Open" button on the right side. After opening Locations Management in a new tab, you can go to this link:

  1. In the Facebook Accounts window, click the blue "Connect Facebook" button.

  2. The system will ask you to log into a Facebook account if you are not already logged in. Please make sure to log into your personal Facebook account as we gain access through the personal account which manages the Facebook business page.

  3. When you are logged in, at the bottom click the blue button which says "Continue as...[name on the account]"

  4. On the next page select the second option "Opt in to current Pages only" and make sure to select the correct page where you want the content to be published. Then click 'Continue' at the bottom. *Note that for one location you can only connect one Facebook page.

  5. On the next page again select to "Opt in to current Businesses only." Select the appropriate business and click the blue "Continue" button at the bottom.

  6. On the next page you should see the business page you wish to connect. Make sure to select it and click Continue. In case you do not see the business page on the third screen, then you need to click the 'Back' button at the bottom. This puts you back to same screen as the previous step. Here instead of selecting "Opt in to current Businesses only" you need to select "Opt in to all current and future Businesses". After making that selection, click Continue.

  7. On the next screen click Save, and on the final screen click "Got It."

  8. You will know you have done it correctly if you see the Facebook icon and the name of the Business page under the "Permissions" section on the Facebook Accounts page on Linda. As seen in this screenshot.

To connect Instagram, all you need to do is follow the same steps as you did with Facebook, but start with clicking "Connect Instagram." You will see one extra screen where you need to select the Instagram page.
